Windows 7 series phones won’t run older apps

March 6, 2010

Microsoft corp announced that windows 7 series phones will not run the older apps from their current and older smart phones. If you are a consumer user it’s one thing but a business that has a few hundred phones might delay going to a new  or find another way to absorb the cost of new phones and new apps or possible a new phone altogether.  I guess this is Microsoft’s answer to the iPhone time will tell if this was a good decision and how much hassle this will be for current customers who no longer will have support for their Microsoft products.

  1. I have to say that I love Windows 7. That OS runs very smooth. Even the 64 bit version runs smooth. When Windows Vista came out a lot of software wasn’t adapted yet for 64bit. Even though 64bit was allready there when XP was the king. Now most prgrams has a 64bit version. Games also run better on Windows 7. It’s almost like gaming on XP. Nice work from MS after problem Vista. And best of all, you don’t need a high end system.
