Monterey County Youth Employment Program

May 29, 2010

The workforce investment board of Monterey County is sponsoring the Youth Employment Program 2010.

This is for youth ages 14 to 21 years of age and it’s an opportunity for them to work in nonprofit, private sector, and government agencies to gain experience and maybe a full-time job in the workforce. With the current economic climate in our county and the country many older workers are taking the jobs that are typically the types of jobs that young teens and young adults normally take leaving them with not many choices in the job market. This program is an opportunity to gain experience and money for the youth. It’s also an opportunity for the businesses and agencies that have jobs to find employees. to find out more about this program click here.
