California Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park

July 22, 2010

Yesterday my family and I and a friend went to Golden Gate Park in San Francisco to visit the new California Academy of Sciences well what we didn’t realize was that it was a free day that they  offer every third Wednesday of the month where everyone who comes gets in free. Now this is a great thing for families especially or students also if you know about it and plan for it, and get there really early. For us though we showed up not knowing about a free day a little late and saw all the parking lots full. We eventually found something then went to get in line and the line was literally a half mile long. So needless to say we didn’t get to go to the museum. Something we did do however was go over to the De Young museum and went upstairs to the observation deck. It was an awesome view of San Francisco I recommend it to anyone who is at the park for the day even if you don’t go see the art at least go see the view. Then we went on a walking tour of San Francisco and had lunch which was good with all the hills and shops to check out. Then back here to Monterey County.
